Now that we are on Hollywood’s A-list, we basically call our own shots. Soon, Mr. Fix It, or perhaps Ashley, will be making the rounds of talk shows, hyping a new show starring Mr. Fix It. After the success of the first Bar Rescue segment involving Mr. Fix It Plumbing at Lona’s City Limits Cantina at 1174 E. Wardlow Road, Long Beach, California, just as we suspected, Hollywood begged Mr. Fix It to star in another big show! Probably, Mr. Fix It will soon be asked to put his hand print into the wet concrete of the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard.

This time, Mr. Fix It called the shots. After demanding top dollar and top billing, and getting it all, Mr. Fix It agreed to another episode of Bar Rescue. After it was all over, everyone was singing the praises of Mr. Fix It Plumbing, karaoke style. Mr. Fix It Plumbing’s crews were working all night long, to a cacophony of singing, cutting, sawing, hammering, sweating, carrying, jogging, and singing.

Mr. Fix It Plumbing agreed to a contract to work at Dimples (named after a Shirley Temple flick), 3413 W. Olive Avenue, Burbank, California, 818-842-2336. Dimples is billed as the first karaoke club in American. Now, I don’t know if you have ever heard a plumber sing…it is not what they do best. Good thing there was lots of cutting, sawing, and hammering to cover up the singing!

I know you can’t wait to see the episode, so hurry to www.spike.com/shows/bar-rescue, episode 308, “Karaoke Katastrophe”. Dimples has quite a fascinating history. The owner is a character, with perhaps, some behaviors not so PC. Mr. Fix It might have to fix a thing or two there.

On construction night, Dimples was a beehive of activity; plumbers, carpenters, electricians, finish carpenters, bar equipment contractors, camera crews, and supervisors running over top of one another! The stress was building as the hour grew later. There wasn’t enough parking for everyone’s trucks. Mr. Fix It wound up with his truck parked 1 ½ blocks away from the work site. When plumbers are working, they are into their truck for tools and materials every few minutes. So, having your hardware store parked

1 ½ blocks away really causes problems.

One man became the assigned runner; he logged a few miles. Mr. Fix It invented a new athletic competition that night, the Plumbathon
